2. make a coral life cycle viewer
[If you search for "coral life cycle viewer" I think you'll find one. I'm currently in a spotty-Internet location of the world and cannot get a good enough connection -- If you find a good link to an online version, let me know and I'll add it -- or feel free to add it yourself... Linda]

snack when done with projects

Review simple machines -- ask for examples of each one
Review gears and changing direction from last week -- how do gears work to change direction?

Introduce gears for changing speeds

Gears template for foam pieces:

(note: to make it easier to cut out the gears, use a hole punch to make the initial teeth and then trim as needed)

Start with foam gears and mesh and brads, make and demo speed change using gears then use simple machines kits to also demonstrate speed change using gears
